Vinces Field School: strengthening the future of cocoa.

Oct 8, 2025

At República del Cacao, we believe that sustainability starts at the source with the passionate producers who grow the cocoa that gives meaning to the most authentic Latin American chocolate. That is why continuous training is an essential part of our commitment to the cocoa communities.

At the end of September, we held the Second Edition of the Field Schools at our Vinces Collection Center, a space for learning and connection that brought together 75 farmers from the area.

During these sessions, participants discussed key issues for strengthening their farms and the sustainability of the cocoa chain.

Dr. Hugo Zumárraga, a PhD. expert in cocoa, guided the group through theoretical and practical sessions on good agricultural practices, EUDR requirements, occupational health and safety, and finance for small producers, among others. Each module was designed to provide concrete tools to boost productivity, traceability and the welfare of producer families.

Beyond technical training, our Field Schools are a meeting that promotes collaboration, the exchange of experiences and reaffirms the joint commitment between our producer partners and our purpose.

In República del Cacao we will continue to strengthen these learning spaces, convinced that cocoa unites us and knowledge drives us.

Let's continue, together, to change the world one cocoa bean at a time!
