Good Food: Gastronomy that Connects 2025

September 19, 2025

At República del Cacao, we firmly believe in the transformative power of chocolate, especially when shared with purpose. Recently, we had an experience that reminded us that gastronomy can be much more than flavors: it can become a bridge towards inclusion, learning, and hope.

Together with Fudela, Chef Ana Lobato – owner of Clara Restaurante, awarded the prestigious “One to Watch” in the 50 Best 2024 — and with the support of the San Francisco University of Quito (USFQ), we carried out a new edition of our initiative Good Food: flavors that unite.

Chef Ana shared her story, passion, and vision of gastronomy as a powerful tool for transformation with a group of men and women; Ecuadorians and migrants, in situations of priority care. In this workshop, chocolate became the ingredient that united, inspired, and empowered the participants, as they received high-level recipes and techniques that strengthened their skills and provided them with tools to innovate, grow, and professionalize their culinary projects.

These experiences inspire us to continue working for a world where every action has a positive impact on society. At República del Cacao, we believe that sharing knowledge opens doors and, when done with purpose, sows seeds of hope and transformation.

Let's continue building a more just and sustainable future together, where chocolate and gastronomy become opportunities for everyone.

Together we're changing the world one cocoa bean at a time!
