Our Nursery: A Commitment to Origin

December 28, 2025

At República del Cacao, we reaffirm our commitment to the origin of chocolate through the rehabilitation of our nursery at the Vinces Collection Center. This project promotes the sustainable production of fine aroma cocoa from Ecuador and strengthens our relationships with our partner cacao farmers.

Today, the nursery has 7,500 grafted fine aroma cocoa plants, which have been validated by our technical team, ensuring their quality. These plants represent an investment in the future of Ecuadorian cocoa and in the continuation of a globally recognized agricultural tradition.

As part of this initiative, plants are distributed among our community of farmers, with each receiving approximately 200 plants. This contribution aims to renew their plots, improve their production, and generate a positive impact on the community by strengthening their cultivation systems and their medium- and long-term productivity.

The nursery rehabilitation also strengthens our traceability work, allowing us to track cocoa from its origin on the farm to its transformation into chocolate. This is a process that guarantees transparency and quality.

With this initiative, we are driving the renewal of crops and the sustainable development of fine aroma cocoa, reaffirming a lasting commitment to the origin that distinguishes Ecuador and our chocolate to the world.
