Field Schools – Farmer to Farmer 2024
During the first semester of 2024, we entered into a working alliance with NCBA CLUSA, the largest and oldest cooperative association in the United States. Together, we implemented the Farmer to Farmer (F2F) project, which is fully funded by American cooperation, USAID. This project provides technical assistance to associations and cooperatives linked to agribusiness.
This September, a PhD in Entomology and professor from the University of North Carolina in the United States visited us. She spent two weeks in Vinces, Los Ríos, where our Collection Center is located. Here, she trained 80 farmers who work with us in pest management, both theoretically and practically. We visited the farmers“ farms, shared best practices, and learned about pests. We also facilitated connections among the small producers, thus strengthening our sustainability pillar of ”Community with Purpose.".

We will continue working in 2025 on the implementation of these Field Schools in the cocoa chain, but also alongside our dairy allies.
Together, we're changing the world one cocoa bean at a time!
