ECUADORIAN PASTRY CHEF SANTIAGO CUEVA VISITING CHINA AND DUBAI

In March 2017, Chef Santiago Cueva was in China for 2 weeks with Ruby Zhang, the Sinodis chef dedicated to República del Cacao in China. Then he flew out to Dubai to meet with Nicole and our distributor Fresh Express. During these 3 weeks, Chef Santiago shared its cacao knowledge and chocolate experience, which was very appreciated by the audience.

The first week was focused on the southeast region, where we have identified a significant opportunity for the brand. Chef Santiago did a public demo in Guangzhou (50 people) and a special in-house training for the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. He went in Dongguan as well for a successful República del Cacao hands-on training at one of our customer’s kitchen.
The following week, Chef Santiago was in Changsha to do a public demo in front of 150 attendees, in the case of our distributor Sinodis road show.
The last stop was in Shanghai, where a República del Cacao hands-on training took place at Sinodis’ kitchen.
During these 2 weeks, Chef Santiago has shared his knowledge of fine cacao and his expertise of pastry. The invitees discovered with great surprise a very Easy to Choose and Easy to Use brand.
The recipes used were based on those that have been created by Chef Ruby and Chef Santiago last year in Shanghai. We also got really good comments regarding the new products, dark chocolates Ecuador 65% and Blend Ecuador-Peru 70%, and Cacao Powder, which should be a big hit in China !

Chef Santiago spent another week in Dubai, where he worked along with our local business developer Nicole Nigro in order to bring support to our distributor Fresh Express. Together they met local clients to provide technical advice, led workshops 
at SCAFA school, and spread the authenticity of República del Cacao in Dubai.
