A Life Changing Trip: Chocolatá Bham discovers our world.

We are proud to encourage a deep understatement of the responsible-passionate business we have at República del Cacao. In order to do so, each year we invite top Chefs to discover our world by visiting our cacao and organic sugar plantations, milk community project and factory. We think it is very important to empower people to have a broad knowledge of the essence of our Brand.
Kathy D’Agostino, the genius behind Chocolatá BHAM from Birmingham- Alabama, traveled to different places in Ecuador to see for herself what is behind this big República. Vinces, the first stop, where seeing the first cacao tree was a significant moment. She had never seen one in her life, even though she has been working in the chocolate industry ever since she was a teenager.
In Turucucho, our milk community that lives for its people. Many women are chiefs in the community, showing there are no gender limitations when it comes to work and growing in any kind of industry. Our panela from Pacto is very particular for Kathy, “the smell is so exquisite, I just want to bathe in it.” Our chocolate factory was a nice surprise, getting to know the process and special care that we take while creating the perfect chocolate impressed her completely.
Understanding every part of the process is what allows us to feed on knowledge and enthusiasm. This way, a person can completely change their vision on life and question what they are doing with their business. We are proud to be part of this renewing experience and will continue inspiring everyone who wants to visit the field and is passionate for fine chocolate.
